Overview

Our Head of Sales is critical to the success of our 30-person SaaS company selling into the service provider market. The focus of the role is to inspire and lead the team in developing, and executing, an effective sales process. The role requires a proven sales leader with a track record of maximising opportunities in both winning new business and growing key accounts. THE COMPANY: We've been established for over 15 years, with a SaaS product that delivers service assurance, and business-wide visibility of critical services. We are a stable, profitable business with a product that people really buy into, and we're rebuilding our sales process and team to exploit changes within the market. BASIC SALARY: £65,000 - £80,000 BENEFITS: · OTE £120,000 plus Accelerators · Healthcare · Pension · 24 Days Holiday LOCATION: Surrey COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Guildford, Aldershot, Farnham, Woking, Farnborough, Horsham, Crawley PERSON SPECIFICATION: Head of Sales - Network and Service Assurance (SaaS) We are looking for someone with a proven ability to lead and motivate a sales team. You do not need to be a highly-experienced manager. The role could suit a strong sales person with management skills, looking to step up. Yes this is a sales role, but if your first reaction to a lead is "great, let's fix a meeting and set up a demo" then this probably isn't the right role for you., If your reaction is "lets figure out the organisational structure, find where the real power is, and check that marketing has been hitting those people with the right messages for the last few months", then we are on the right lines. In addition to this, you will have: · A proven ability to do multi-level sales into complex organisations of varying sizes · An appreciation of the need to engage and sell to multiple stakeholders, understanding their different viewpoints and priorities and the politics between them · A personality which enjoys going out and meeting people and pushing the product · A driven personality, with presence and credibility in front of senior management Technology sales experience is essential, but that could be in SAAS, Cloud, Software, Managed Services and Solutions or Hardware. JOB DESCRIPTION: Head of Sales - Network and Service Assurance (SaaS) You will be responsible for the following: · Managing and building the sales team and the sales process. · Mentoring, guiding, managing team-members · Working with the team to improve our sales approach and process. Closely monitor the progress, success, or failure of our management of leads, prospects, and partners, and use this to improve our sales strategy. · Being actively involved with winning business, both supporting the team, and through the development of your own opportunities and large accounts. · Promoting multi-level contact with prospects and partners, building high-level relationships with senior figures within these organisations. · Measuring and reporting sales progress in a concise, meaningful and useful way, to the management team. · As a member of the management team, provide input to company strategy, help boost company 'feel' and culture.
