Overview

Head of Business Development Farnham and Field Based £55K commission, £5K car allowance My client is seeking a Head of Business Development to join their team in Farnham. The Head of Business Development will be responsible for building and maintaining successful business relationships whilst continuously developing business strategies. The Head of Business Development will: Build a strong understanding of the industry, competitor activity, customer and consumer behaviours Identify new, product channels, advertising and revenue opportunities through continuous improvement and innovation Implement both new and existing sales strategies, working closely with the Sales and Marketing teams to ensure business plans and KPIs are achieved Offer professional judgement on digital and sales matters, advising on ways to improve business performance Present a professional and helpful point of communication for all clients and colleagues Responsible for key client engagement and growth of the Groups new business model Maintain and grow relationships with current client base Pursue sales leads, and develop strong new business relationships Offer a professional judgement and advising on ways to improve business performance Implement new business development strategy for the Groups new business model Meet the sales and financial targets set by the Managing partner Work with senior management to develop proposals that speaks to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives Manage the entire sales process, focusing on quality and customer service Plan and prepare persuasive presentations and proposals to clients Work to and exceed KPI's set out at the start of each quarter Build, manage, grow and develop the sales team Address performance issues in a pro-active, fair and timely manner Ensure all members of the team are fully trained, knowledgeable and up to date The ideal candidate will: Have a minimum of 5 years' field sales experience Have proven track record of successfully bringing new business products or services to market Have experience of building, managing and developing a sales team Be a confident negotiator and ability to close the deal Have strong communication skills; both verbal and written Have proven track record in exceeding targets Be self-motivated Ability to work and communicate well with a remote sales team Have excellent organisational and time management skills Hold a full UK driving license with own car Hours of work are 8.30 - 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 5pm on Friday. You will need to be flexible with the working hours due to the nature of the role.
