Overview

IT Account Manager - Spider Recruitment Services, the specialist recruitment division of Spider are currently working with a company who provide a whole host of IT services for a range of clients predominantly in the East Anglia region but some further afield. They are looking to recruit a Sales/Account Manager to join their busy team based at their offices in Ipswich. Responsibilities and core activities of the role: Proactively manage assigned customers to ensure their IT infrastructure is strategically aligned with commercial objectives and IT security is suitably robust to mean current cyber threats. Telephone and face to face presentation of IT concepts and solutions (including products & services) to customers. Ensure assigned customers are profit centres. Thorough understanding of the companies range of products and services. Internet based product awareness and research. Use of in-house systems to; record customer enquiries, prepare quotations, generate internal sales orders, generate and track supplier purchase orders. Proactively follow up all enquiries/quotations Liaison with suppliers and vendors for product, price and stock information and to ensure successful completion of purchase orders. Liaison with technical team and low-level project management for successful completion of sales orders. Some new business development through email and telephone marketing, face to face networking, events, social media, and website updates. Qualifications and experience: Proven account management track record with at least 1 year's relevant sales experience Excellent knowledge and understanding of IT products (Microsoft preferable) Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) Strong autonomous, organisational skills Ability to perform under pressure within a busy team environment Good computer skills for Microsoft Windows and Office Full UK Driving licence required Hours and benefits: Full-time, permanent role Monday to Friday, 0830-1730, 1 hour for lunch £21,000 to £26,000 basic dependent on relevant experience Commission and new customer bonus Use of pool company car during business hours A competitive salary is on offer with a generous remuneration package depending on experience and a large number of clients / leads ready to work on.
