Overview
Due to significant growth my client, who is a global manufacturer of automotive parts has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Account Controller to join their team based in Washington. Main Purpose of The Role: The successful candidate will have strong commercial experience and knowledge of the Automotive Industry and will represent the business when dealing with external customers in both the UK and mainland Europe as well as interfacing with different global offices. Responsibilities: Work with Sales Manager and applicable Regional Business Unit Leader/Director to develop and negotiate pricing strategies for current and future business. Develop and manage approval of quotations prior to customer submission. Act as the main customer interface for Sales and other business requirements and to provide a high-quality point of contact. Develop and manage strategies to achieve Sales internal KPI commitments. Possess a high degree of product knowledge and appreciation of customer/competitor benchmarking. Support regular cross-functional meetings including Project Management, Design Change Control, Technical Cost Reduction, etc. Recover costs associated with design changes, tooling modifications and other customer-instigated activities Co-ordinate customer and internal monthly reporting. About you: Educated to HND / Degree level or equivalent (preferably in Engineering or Business discipline. High level of related experience in the Automotive Industry. Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, effective in a cross-regional and cross-functional environment. Self-sufficient in MS Office and other related IT packages.
