My client are a highly successful professional services business with multiple offices located around the UK and have realised significant growth over the past 2 years. They offer corporate and commercial services across a multitude of sectors with a wide ranging, impressive client portfolio, delivering a unique blend of expertise where it's needed most. They are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to join their York based team. This role is instrumental in the acquisition and retention of new and existing clients, working with partners to agree joined-up business plans, and subsequently ensuring the successful execution of all plans and the measurement of results. The role holder will work strategically and tactically to plan, deliver and lead incisive and value-added new business sales ensuring key objectives in the business plans are achieved. Key Responsibilities: Working alongside Fee Earners and Partners, the Sales Manager will devise and implement strategic business development plans to secure new business and increase profitable work from existing referrers and targeted prospects. They will have a good understanding of the relevant regional market and the challenges and opportunities within it. They will be comfortable targeting and speaking to key decision makers to qualify needs and provide the appropriate solution They will develop and drive business development strategies to build positive client relationships. Using market intelligence and shared information, the Sales Manager must ensure close monitoring, recording, tracking and feedback relating to market and client activity. They will generate and implement focused business development initiatives through to successful conclusion. They will be the key point of contact for clients' from initial contact to completion of the project, so strong account management skills are required. The Successful Candidate: The successful candidate will be a proactive and energetic individual, somebody with strong commercial acumen that harbours the ability to pick up difficult topics quickly in order to deliver an efficient and effective sales process. A strong account manager with the ability to identify new business opportunities, and ideally educated to degree level.
