Overview
Aspire Cambridge are recruiting for a Business Development Manager on behalf of our client in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire. Our client was formed in 1987 supplying bare printed circuit boards. Key responsibilities: Seek out and engage new profitable customers. Manage and grow business with nominated existing customers through planned programs. Develop the customer relationships with both new and existing customers. Understand the customers business needs both technically and commercially to ensure a good 'fit' with the companies business model. Explore background information from potential customers including spend with CEMs. Act as the primary contact for any issues or problems within the defined customer set, coordinate with the sales manager and agree action required to resolve these. Forecast and track defined customer sales and profit figures. Attend customer meetings. Work with colleagues in the sales team to ensure timely processing of RFQs and customer quotations, ensuring appropriate follow up, negotiating and order closing. Communicate to the sales manager the progress of these customers on a monthly basis. Other responsibilities may include: setting up RFQs, order processing, managing contract reviews, attending production meetings and co-ordinating on time delivery to customers. Key Requirements (Qualifications and Skills): 1. A strong background in Electronic manufacturing or product engineering 2. Proven sales experience in a similar industry 3. Someone who has stamina and the ability to withstand rejection 4. The ability to think of their feet 5. Location wise would be Milton Keynes/Oxford/Reading/Hampshire area Start: Immediate Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire but flexible to be able to work from home with office visits 3/4 times a month Initial training must be office based for the first month or so.
