Overview

Elevation Recruitment Group are currently working with our client based in Sheffield who are looking to recruit an Interim Commercial & Operations Manager. This is a fixed term contract until April 2021 working for a not for profit organisation, overseeing the commercial and operational function, including volunteers and retail. The right candidate will bring commercial experience and the ability to motivate commercial teams. You will ensure operations are running efficiently and safely and ensure the customer experience is second to none Role Responsibilities: - Lead the growth and development of profitable commercial activities including retail and corporate hospitality - Ensure to drive a positive customer-focused experience to maximise profit for the organisation by working with the Customer Experience Managers - Line mange the Commercial and Operational Managers - Report to the Director and deliver against the organisation's business plan - Work with the team to ensure all sites are maintained to an appropriate standard - Ensure all maintenance and budgets are managed effectively - Develop a positive Health and Safety Culture by working closely with the direct Manager - Agree income targets, cost efficiency strategies and key performance indicators with the Director and ensure these are regularly reported, monitored and achieved - Work with the team to develop commercial hire opportunities and maximise profit - Manage all licensing requirements within the organisation - Work with the team to develop retail growth and ensure excellent customer service - Ensure that volunteering opportunities offer a valuable experience and make a positive contribution Requirements: - You must have commercial experience preferably in leisure, tourism or general management - You must have in depth knowledge of commercial business planning, including market analysis, financial forecasting, risk assessment and budget management - Having an understanding of not for profit and the restrictions is desirable - Experience of developing and delivering outstanding customer service standards - Experience of leading a multi-disciplined team - Ability to work with people with expertise in a wide range of disciplines - Ability to manage a complex and demanding workload and deliver against agreed targets and deadlines to a high standard - Have a solution focused approach Elevation Business Support is a specialist division of Elevation Recruitment Group focusing on Administration positions in Yorkshire and surrounding regions.
