The Accounts Payable position is an exciting opportunity to work within a renowned international Legal Firm based out of their head office in Central London. Client Details My client are internationally known Legal Firm, based out of Central London. They are now looking for a new, experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to join their large and established finance team, offering a friendly an inclusive working environment, great offices and location as well as an opportunity for development and growth. Description The Accounts Payable Assistant will be responsible for: Taking full ownership of the purchase ledger, reconciliation of supplier statements, raising of invoices, setting up suppliers accurately onto the company system and chasing and clearing any outstanding balances. Manage AP mailbox and deal with any queries ensuring these are resolved efficiently and professionally. Management and ownership of employee expense claims, ensuring appropriate authorisation, correct coding for all expense items and following up on any employee queries. Work closely with the Travel Team to process data in a timely manner and ensure accurate booking information is received and reconciled Processing of supplier invoices, ensuring they are appropriately authorised and coded on to the system Preparation of BACS file for weekly payment runs Support the Financial Accountants in month end reporting, posting journals and providing ad-hoc analysis as required. Identify process improvements within accounts payable and expense claims, and work with key members of staff (e.g. heads of department, budget holders, secretaries etc) to ensure procedures are understood and complied with. Profile The successful Accounts Payable: Accounting and Finance Degree or related (preferred) Currently studying AAT/ACCA/CIMA qualification Previous Legal or Professional Services experience Minimum of 2 years accounts payable experience Previous experience working with VAT Intermediate Excel skills Ability to work within strict deadlines with a high level of accuracy and remain calm in a busy environment.
