Trainee Operations Analyst Fixed Term Contract (12 Months) United Kingdom - London About Us: Citco is a global leader in fund services, corporate governance and related asset services with more than 7,000 staff across 80 offices worldwide. About the Role: Citco Financial Products Ltd (CFP) has been created to engineer & provide financial products to the Citco client base, more specifically to their Hedge Fund Investors. The focus of our business is our lending platform which consists of multiple credit facilities which are secured on the end borrowers assets. Since launching in March 2006 the Loan book has grown to an excess of $1.5bn. CFP also executes client Foreign Exchange transactions which are currently in excess of $1.5bn. The client base is diverse which includes Single Manager Funds, Private Equity, Fund of Hedge Funds and other types of Hedge Fund Investors. CFP also provides Currency Share Class Hedging and Portfolio Currency Hedging calculation services to its clients which is increasingly becoming an in demand service. CFP are seeking to provide a first-class service in a new and challenging environment. We are specifically seeking to recruit an individual with the right attitude, self motivation and commitment to assist the Financial Products team with daily Operations. You will be assisting with the day to day operations of all of CFP's Credit and FX product offerings, system set up of New clients, Regulatory reporting and possibley assisting with the testing of IT developments depending on your ability to grasp and understand our business models. Responsibilities include: FX System booking of Front Office FX trades (Spot, Forward, Swap & NDF) Issuance of post trade deal confirmations Collateral Management Request for the opening of FX Margin accounts with Citco Bank inline with the interest conditions set out in the CSA agreements for new FX clients Daily running of collateral calculations to determine if any client margin movements are required Issuance of margin call or return email notifications to clients Cashflow Management - responsible for the booking or authorisation of client collateral movements via SWIFT Daily reconciliation of FX margin balances to ensure all cash has moved correctly as expected Credit Set up and maintenance of static data in-house systems and databases as per end borrower client loan accession agreements or Amathea Investors documentation Cash Management and booking of loan book and client facility drawdown and repayment requests Daily reconciliation of lending cell and Amathea funding cash balances with BoNY Escalation of any operational issues, insufficient funds, overdrawn balances or payment settlement issue in a timely manner to CFP Front Office Daily running of the Capital Model, a key component of the risk management of the Amathea Platform Weekly/Monthly building and reconciliation of Capital model rating results Creation and issuance of client credit facility statements Regulatory Reporting Daily EMIR/Canadian regulatory reporting of OTC derivatives, trade valuations and collateral portfolio's to DTCC on behalf of client and Citco Bank Generation and issuance of EMIR trade confirmations to clients Quarterly reconciliation of all client collateral portfolio's in accordance to EMIR regulations Reconciliation of all data submitted and processed by DTCC Other Additional project work or tasks may be assigned depending on suitability About You Degree qualified in a Business, Maths, Finance related discipline Candidates in the process of completing a degree looking for a professional work placement will also be considered (min12 months) Excel skills and distinct advantage Good communication and interpersonal skills The ability to keep clam and prioritise work under pressure An adaptable team player with a proactive approach to problem solving Aptitude to learn new skills Must be available to start immediately Our Benefits Your wellbeing is of paramount importance to us, and central to our success.
