Overview

The Finance Director is responsible for providing accounting and finance leadership for the global operation, including development and operation of financial and accounting processes, risk mitigation strategies, metrics and reporting, control processes, and fiscal reporting. Main responsibilities: • Oversee the company’s accounting operation globally • Manage local vendors providing accounting, finance, reporting, and other related services • Provide financial insights to management operating in a geographically dispersed ecosystem • Oversee development and implementation of company financial and fiscal policies • Direct financial analysis across all activities, plans, targets and business drivers • Ensure financial and fiscal compliance with local laws and regulations • Work with senior management to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans • Ensure cash flow management, minimize fees and commissions, and control spend Requirements: • University Degree in Economics, Finance or Accounting; a Masters degree is a plus • Proven experience as a director of finance or similar role • In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles and best practices • Solid knowledge of financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting • Excellent organizational and leadership skills • Outstanding communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities • Proficient with financial/accounting software (QuickBooks or Netsuite preferred) • Open to 10% travel and flexible work schedule Nice to have: • Experience with implementing a global ERP system • Knowledge of the service industry, ideally marketing or technology consulting • Work history in more than one country (cross-cultural experience) • Experience with procurement and expenses policies, processes, and tools • Proficiency with Spanish, German, or Romanian • An entrepreneurial spirit and agile business acumen • Knowledge of financial statistics, financial modelling, and corporate governance processes • Experience with currencies and international transfers This is a full-time position with a competitive salary (negotiable and dependent upon prior experience).
