Overview

Role: New Business Development Manager (Energy Sector – Nuclear, Powergen, Renewable Energy) Location: Birmingham Salary: £ Competitive Overview: We are currently recruiting for a New Business Development Manager for our client based in the Birmingham area, the role will be working closely within the Energy Sector and covering Nuclear, Powergen and Renewable Energy. The role solely focusses on new business to develop and grow for our client and will require unrivalled ability to acquire new customers and create and take market share. Duties and Responsibilities: To accelerate growth through the acquisition of large customers, improve company conversation rate through closer alignment with customer need, drive customers through the value curve. The purpose of this role is to fulfil the Organisation's vision for growth, gain increased market share and drive our opportunities to deploy product specialism at scale. Responsible for winning new business at a strategic level across the full spectrum of the clients offerings Focussed on targeting strategic new business opportunities with potential spend of £300k per annum – IS/Onsite/Strategic Supply agreements Responsible for new business opportunities across multi-site national contracts Tenders/RFIs – Management of multisite tenders/tenders with value of £300k/all IS/all Onsites This is an exciting new opportunity to transform the way new business operates within our clients business. The successful New Business Manager has the opportunity to become a central part of companies growth strategy with a focus on winning the biggest customer accounts in the market. This is an opportunity that is focussed on taking all that our client has to offer to the market without restriction. Future career prospects include moving upwards within the sales organisation - Regional Sales Director, Business Development Director or moving into more operationally focussed roles within the company. Personal Attributes: Proven track record of delivering new business Proven ability to create solutions for complex customer problems, whilst maintaining ROI for our client Proven ability to operate and negotiate with senior leaders / Board members Background/ Experience: Understanding of the full offer suite (IS, onsite, national contracts etc) Insight and solution selling process knowledge Full understanding of changing customer requirements Understanding of operational requirements and restraints Knowledge of the Nuclear, Powergen or Renewable Energy Sector Any specific MRO product and service knowledge and experience would be advantageous, as would experience of both Key Account Management as well as New Business sales roles.
