Overview
Job Purpose (Role Definition): 1.To successfully lead and manage the Company’s Product Management team. 2.Responsible for the Company’s existing and future product range, throughout all stages of the product lifecycle from inception, registration and launch through to the ongoing management and evolution of the products. 3.Manage the Company’s product range profitably; 4.Responsible for distributed products within the company portfolio, maintaining direct communication with suppliers to ensure regulatory adherence, product support materials for sales teams, and training. The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Marketing, Research & Development, Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, and Manufacturing to ensure effective delivery and support of products, customer satisfaction and that sales targets are met. Main Duties and Responsibilities Develop and manage the strategic product roadmap for and financial performance of the Company’s product portfolio; Develop and manage product marketing plan to feed into the overall marketing plan of the company; Develop and manage the Product Management team, providing support, leadership and guidance for the product ranges under their responsibility; Identify and evaluate potential new products for distribution by the company; Create compelling marketing launch plans to drive commercialisation of products to the Sales team, distributors and market; Work collaboratively with Sales to ensure that there is common understanding of business goals and objectives; Gather market data to support new product ideas for distribution or own development; Create pricing plans for range extensions and new products, based on market knowledge, health economic modelling where appropriate and the Company’s required return on capital; Draw insights from business trends, competitor analysis and customer feedback to identify points of difference to develop compelling value propositions for new and existing products and ensure that products are effectively positioned in the market; Manage the development of launch plans to ensure smooth commercialisation of products to the Sales team, distributors and market; Define and develop a communications strategy and plan; Measure the success of marketing programs to determine the most effective means of driving sales; Plan sales approaches and develop proposals that address customer needs, concerns, and objectives; Develop high-impact sales tools such as white papers, presentations, case studies, business cases, to help improve sales win rates; Participate in trade fairs / conferences / events to present on our products, meet with suppliers and develop relationships with opinion leaders; Attend industry functions, association events and conferences, and provide informative feedback on market activity; Assist in identifying opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels (e.g. telesales, social media, website) that will lead to an increase in sales; Develop promotional material and sales story for the product ranges under your and your teams responsibility; Liaise with Principals to ensure that adequate promotional material (presentations, literature, clinical support information) is available for the sales team at all times; Create, develop and maintain an up to date suite of training material for the Company’s products and deliver it to a varied audience (both internal and external) as and when required; Deliver clinical arguments and supporting data as appropriate, including handling of objections and FAQs; Provide product and application support to training partners, sales team, service team, distributors and customers on the use of products when appropriate; Ensure that Product Management is seen as the focal point for sales support on application issues of the products; Participate in strategic product planning meetings as necessary; Organise and attend product development meetings; Submit regular (weekly/monthly) progress reports ensuring data is accurately presented; Monthly reporting and analysis on sales revenues and margins.Once analysed, take the necessary steps to improve things using tactical marketing. Experience and Qualifications Required Mandatory Neonatology; MBA, Bachelor’s degree, business or Life Science degree or equivalent, and/or demonstrable success in a Senior Product Manager role; Clinical and practical knowledge of product application; Healthcare / medical device industry background. Sound people management skills and experience; Understanding and application of healthcare regulations and quality standards in the UK and international markets. Strong analytical skills Desirable Understanding of UK and International neonatal and operating room markets
