International Corporate Tax Director
Overview
We're looking for a candidate to fill this position in an exciting company. Organize and manage complex projects, from assessment through to design and implementation, dealing with detail whilst maintaining an overview; Stakeholder management - work effectively with colleagues at all levels within the organization and in a wide range of countries around the world; Communicate with senior executives, with impact. This will require clear and concise writing and speech, in a wide range of situations; Get things done within a large and complex organization that operates on a consensus basis; Manage external advisors cost-effectively; and Travel overseas, from time to time. The ideal candidate will have a Big 4 background and a recognized accounting and/or tax qualification, with a good practical understanding of finance and accounting. They would benefit from having prior experience working in-house for a large international organisation working across a broad cross-section of tax issues, including knowledge of major global tax initiatives (such as the OECD's BEPS agenda) and a good understanding of transfer pricing. Prior experience of managing the relationship with tax authorities across multiple jurisdictions (particualarly in Western Europe), and leading any related tax audit defence, would be ideal. In addition it would be helpful to see evidence of the candidate managing complex international tax planning projects, from assessment through to design and implementation
