Newsweek is seeking a senior editor to join our London newsroom. We’re looking for an editor who can edit quickly and cleanly, plan coverage for upcoming events effectively and can generate unique ideas for coverage. You are responsible for ensuring high-quality coverage that is accurate, fair, and conforms to accepted standards of journalism. The ideal candidate will have experience in one or more of these areas: U.S. politics and foreign policy Pop culture and viral trends Planning and SEO Role Responsibilities: Editing multiple stories a day across multiple beats and topics Working quickly, yet accurately, to assign breaking news coverage and edit/publish the stories Writing quality content for publication on Newsweek.com Spotting trends and developing fresh angles for coverage Follow AP Style Forward planning for known news events Role Requirements: Candidates should have a minimum of three years' editorial experience in a relevant position Excellent writing and copy editing skills Bachelor’s degree Knowledge and experience with SEO and online journalism Flexible hours Click ' APPLY NOW '.
