Job Description
Darwin is a medium-sized agency in a big network. Our specialism is medical strategy and education; and as part of WPPs Health Practice, we work collaboratively with creative, digital, market access and other teams to combine scientific rigour and tactical ingenuity for our clients. Our teams are assembled bespoke for each client, and include medical writers and account managers as standard, and other roles as required while taking into consideration the development needs of our staff, including regular opportunities in new therapy areas and on new project types. In the last year, Darwin teams have delivered national and international medical education programmes for nurses, pharmacists and physicians; expert meetings in virology, haematology, immuno-oncology, and chronic migraine; strategic support, including attendance at congresses, for clients working in rheumatology, fibrotic diseases, and haemophilia; and publications in haemophilia, womens health, respiratory medicine. About the role Senior Medical Writers provide scientific leadership for one or more accounts. Working with senior account leads, they shape, develop, and deliver strategically effective content and programmes that meet client objectives, budgets, and timelines. In addition, they contribute to company development, helping with proposals and pitching, as well as mentoring and line managing junior writers. Requirements Senior Medical Writers should have at least 3 years medical communications experience (or equivalent), as well as: * Demonstrated aptitude for learning, interpreting, and communicating medical data in visual and written outputs, adapted for a range of different audiences * Strong evidence of leadership and role model behaviours * In-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, and demonstrated ability to relate scientific understanding to a clients strategic needs * Proven ability to work well in a busy, deadline-driven environment If you need assistance or an accommodation due to a disability, please email us via Jessica.Richardson@WPPHealth.com Benefits
