About blue{shift} blue{shift} education is London’s premier coding educator; we’ve been teaching children a creative approach to coding and robotics since 2013. We run after school clubs at 20 schools, run coding and robotics camps every holiday and half-term, and offer private tutoring. Our ethos is to inspire children with the creative possibilities of code and show them all the things they can make using technology as a tool.  Our current classes focus on teaching the fundamentals of programming using Scratch, Blockly, Bitsbox, Robotics, Minecraft modding, JavaScript, Python and Micro:bit in artistic and engaging ways. We are currently working on many exciting projects to grow the business and have a need for an organised individual with a flexible, hands-on approach About the position blue{shift} is growing fast, and we need a smart, reliable intern to help us out around the office, and be an integral part of the planning and execution of our after school clubs and holiday camps. They will work closely with all parts of the company, from the Director of Operations to our Content, Marketing and Events teams. This internship will allow you to work on a variety of different projects and be involved in all aspects of a startup, including tech, marketing, operations and communications.  Key responsibilities Event logistics Preparing for our holiday camps Supporting our teaching team during the event Looking after our students Helping to ensure a smooth run of our events Marketing Assisting with social media Researching trends and coming up with content ideas Helping our head of marketing with our marketing campaigns Operations Assisting with admin tasks Answering the phone Assisting account managers with processes and communications Equipment management Making sure the equipment is charged and organised Organising equipment move to our camp and after school club locations Ordering extra equipment Office management About you First and foremost, you’re smart, focused, super-organised, and enthusiastic about working in a tech startup. Ideally you’ll be excited about both working in technology and working with children alike - at camp you’ll be around a lot of 5-13 year olds and they’ll often be looking to you for help You’re a great communicator - both written and verbally - and you pride yourself on your attention to detail. You’ve got a great attitude when it comes to being asked to do things you’ve never done before, and you’re not afraid to ask for help when you get stuck. You understand that this is a startup environment and as such everyone needs to pull their weight; you love a challenge and are great at solving problems whenever they come up (and they will).
