Overview

We are currently recruiting for a Deputy Retail Manager, for our client based in the heart of Totnes. They are an independent premium outlet in the beauty and fashion sector and have been trading successfully for many years. They benefit from a loyal customer base, and offer a unique blend of boutique fashion, premium beauty products, and services. This position would suit a candidate with a strong foundation in beauty sales & treatments. This role offers the successful candidate a fantastic, and diverse mixed working environment, that combines both front of house management and sales, alongside provision of treatments. This position is a great opportunity to step up into management, or to build on existing experience. The business benefits from spacious treatment rooms, with its own expert salon team. To be successful in the role you will require a strong passion for retail and beauty sales, and an excellent eye for detail. Training on beauty products will be provided, alongside makeover training. We are looking for an excellent communicator, who can hold effortless conversation with the customers, and encourage them to experience the full range of salon services, in addition to the retail offerings. Key Requirements Beauty trained, and solid retail experience ideally within skin care, makeup sector or the fashion sector. Experience in working to target and strong time management skills. Friendly, polite, professional and positive attitude with excellent customer service ability. Proven track record of leadership or management to support the efficient running of a store, and team. Ability to hold the store independently during set days of the week and lead the team. Initiative, flexibility and leadership qualities are required alongside being a team player with an ability to both retain and build the customer & client base using creative promotions and social media platforms. Creative thinker and positive solution finding mindset. You will enjoy developing independently and support the team’s growth and helping maintain a professional yet friendly working environment.
