Overview

A long-established and leading Japanese seafood and food processing company, with strong presence in the USA is seeking an internationally-minded bi-lingual Sales Executive. You will be a fluent English speaker with at least a reasonable understanding of Japanese, and be keen to develop business within Europe. The company has an established client base throughout the UK and is looking to increase their profile in the European market. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and motivated sales person, able to learn new products quickly, and with the ability to build good relationships and develop business within the wholesale/distribution sector. You will have a passion for food in general, including Japanese food, and will be looking to develop your skills and experience to managerial level. CORE DUTIES • Utilise, review and update the client database • Provide support and reassurance to customers • Analyse sales data • Increase the company’s sales profits • Provide strategies and estimates for the company • Prepare and distribute information from the company to clients • Respond to client communications or queries and resolve any client issues • Network with business partners and/or distributors • Support Japanese manager for business set up - finding office location, supporting administration matters (contracts accounting and legal matters etc) • Attend trade shows in Europe and possibly get involved in overseas trading in Japan or USA IDEAL APPLICANT • Fluent, business-level English & Japanese (minimum intermediate level) and any European languages are advantageous. • B2B sales experience in the wholesale/foodservice food industry • A highly motivated self-starter • Strong Excel & MS Office skills All applicants must have the right to work in the UK as the Company is not able to support visa applications.
