Overview

Technical Sales Consultant - Environmental Scotland Competitive salary package Our client is a leader in the development and manufacture of a range of bio-available micronutrients for use in the optimisation of Anaerobic Digestion plants, biogas production and wastewater treatment, as well as commercial concrete additives and liquid de-icers. Due to continued innovation and expansion they are seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to manage key accounts and work to support customers across the Scotland area of the UK, as well as sourcing new clients and bringing in new business. This is a home-based field sales role, so a full driving licence is essential. Role : Visit existing customers and maintain current business by troubleshooting, reporting, and addressing problems. Develop accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features. Develop new sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; cold calling new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations. Following up leads provided by the company web site and converting into sales; Assessing competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities. Keep job knowledge up to date by studying new product descriptions; participating in relevant exhibitions and seminars. Take ownership for new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add products and value to key product ranges. Candidate : Proven successful sales experience in the environmental or chemicals sector. Degree / HND in chemistry, environmental science or related subject. Experience of dealing with a range of customers, from SME to PLC. Knowledge of Wastewater, Water Treatment and/or Biogas markets a distinct advantage. Full Driving Licence essential. Already lives on the territory, ideally Central Belt area (other locations considered). Happy to travel across Scotland to visit customers and stay away from home as required.
