Compliance Auditor Nationwide Business Unit: ES&T SF30046 About the role Purpose of role: Responsible for implementing and auditing internal and external quality processes and for supporting/training operational systems throughout the organisation. These will include funding body contractual requirements, ISO and legislative areas. Top 4 Major Tasks and Activities: • To carry out internal system audits using Etrack and other systems to ensure company complies with all funding body requirements and ensure Business processes and systems are being used and followed • To work with the PMC team to ensure all data inconsistencies and guidance to the Regional areas are dealt with to a National Standard • To produce written audit reports for managers and the Compliance Manager in line with target dates. Ensure all corrective action is carried out within agreed timescale • To train and support the implementation and effective communication of internal and external procedures throughout the organisation. Assist in evaluations of Babcock’s procedures on a regular basis and make recommendations for future improvements Additional Key Accountabilities: • To provide support to regional teams and individuals on compliance and prior to any external audits • To undertake other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time • To carry out tasks as agreed with Compliance Manager effectively Budget / Cash Management Responsibility: • To carry out tasks as agreed with Compliance Manager effectively • To comply with the company’s standards regarding expenses Key Outputs/Deliverables: • Audits completed within correct timescales • Reports completed within correct timescales • Training Support Sessions delivered effectively (using various delivery methods) • Answer Compliance Emails in correct timescale Describe with whom the role regularly interfaces: External • Funding Bodies • External Auditors • Contractors Internal • All employees of ES&T (WLS,EEA & LFB)– especially Operational Staff • Other Compliance Colleagues • Support Service Colleagues What do I need to do the role? Key Technical Skills / competencies: • Good eye for detail • Excellent IT Skills • Excellent Communication Skills Key Behavioural competencies: • Ability to work effectively under pressure and maintain a professional approach/image • Ability to work as a team • Ability to use own initiative and work alone on set projects • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Assumes responsibility and accountability • Excellent organisational skills • Excellent relationship management techniques • Availability to travel and Stay away when required and agreed with Compliance Manager Key Analytical Skills and Challenges / competencies: • Ability to prioritise own workload and meet strict deadlines • Flexible approach to working hours due to external audit pressures Company/Industry Knowledge: • Proven good performance during past audits of own work • Good understanding of operational job roles within the organisation • Good understanding of internal and external policies and procedures including: contractual, ISO and Health and Safety • Good understanding of auditing/quality assurance systems • Excellent working knowledge of Etrack, e-Learning platforms and any others as agreed with Compliance Manager Qualifications: • Educated to HND/Degree level or equivalent • Key skills level 3 communications or equivalent • Key skills level 2 application of number or equivalent • IT Qualification Level 3 or above • Role Specific i.e. Quality, Audit • Group Training/coaching What else do I need to know? • All applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK and be subject to satisfactory security clearance which includes 3 years reference checks.
