Role overview They are looking to recruit a driven New Business Development Manager with knowledge of the cloud and managed services sector. Based in the North West and reporting into the Sales Director, this position is likely to be of interest to an ambitious sales professional that thrives in a fast-paced, rapidly growing company. Responsible for new client acquisition, the BDM will leverage existing company relationships with software vendors and those in the sector to generate new business opportunities, with the support of a comprehensive marketing strategy. The ability to nurture relationships and negotiate with senior representatives from the country’s top firms is essential, as is the ability to communicate complex concepts on both a technical and strategic business level. Background Experience ·A minimum of 2 years’ sales experience within the IT industry from a Cloud, IaaS, Managed Services, Software as a Service or complimenting technologies market. ·Good knowledge of one or two target markets and their associated dynamics. ·Ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding of solution selling ·Ability to prepare accurate sales documentation for potential/existing customers, e.g. quotes, proposals, tender responses and RFIs ·Excellent all-round communication skills ·Capable of successfully networking at all levels of the decision-making cycle. ·Working knowledge of sales model and utilising the model to drive revenue ·Excellent verbal, and written communication skills; able to communicate ideas to a broad audience ·Ability to build relationships, identify key decision-makers and further strengthen relationships to drive business growth ·Ability to work as part of a team with Pre-sales, Implementation Consultants, Channel Managers, Technical Support Engineers, Technical Account Managers, Marketing and Sales Support/Operations ·Extensive experience in commercial roles with relevant industry knowledge This is an exciting role, with plenty of opportunity to progess your career with significant onward earning potential.
