Overview
Our client is a global specialist insurance provider, they are seeking someone to join their team as a level 2 trading underwriter within their inspection department. This business is a market leader and are based in luxurious offices with city skyline views and first-class premises. The main purpose of this role is to deliver market leading customer service to customers, whilst contributing towards the department’s service priorities by managing an assigned caseload. The successful candidate will work within Inspection and/or underwriting authority and company strategy to support the profitable development of customer relationship, whilst developing technical or underwriting skills. Key Responsibilities Within this inspection underwriter role, it is expected that you will have a good knowledge of legislation and an awareness of its impact on statutory examinations / inspection frequencies and a knowledge of the attaching covers. Deliver a market leading customer service for your assigned caseload. Support the team and department in helping achieve all service and operational KPIs. Demonstrate learning and progression towards developing technical / underwriting knowledge and skills. Work with the team in winning and retaining key accounts. Contribute towards financial results of the team by supporting new business, cross selling, retention & rate and customer profitability plans. Contribute towards loss ratio control by effectively adhering to company’s plans. Work with your Team Leader and Team in delivering the team and department’s performance goals. Build an effective trading relationship with customers through regular contact and support in line with defined customer plans. Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are understood and met. To understand and comply with the company’s complaints policy, procedures and processes.
