Overview

Imperial Professionals are looking to strategically recruit a Business Development Manager for one of our high-profile clients. The role is with an AIM-listed developmental technology business, operating within the leisure hospitality and retail sectors. What is the purpose of the role? Reporting directly to the Managing Director, it involves increasing the revenue streams across the customer base. You will be accountable for an individual sales target to support strategic growth plans; pro-active in the generation of new business, primarily through a pre-agreed number of face-to-face meetings; expected to attend regular on-site customer visits with the aim of developing relationships between customers and the business; and required to execute the assigned lead generation (marketing campaign feeds). Job Title: Business Development Manager - Brewery Division Location: Remote, Home-Based Salary: Up to £35k basic per annum (Room for negotiation depending on experience) Benefits: Company Car Allowance (Circa £350 per month) plus excellent uncapped bonus model Employment Opportunity: Permanent Highlighted Responsibilities: Increase revenue streams across the customer base. Accountability for individual sales target to support strategic growth plans. Team excellence by working across teams to achieve shared targets and support group sales strategies. Proactive field-based approach to ensure that all sales opportunities are maximised to full effect. Generate sales. Adhere to KPI and Sales Targets set by the business to generate activity relating to sales. Outbound call management. Attending regular on-site customer visits to develop relationships between customers and the business. Create a regular sales pipeline. Pro-active generation of new business to be primarily through a pre-agreed number of face-to-face meetings. Convert calls from cold call to warm status. Research and generate leads from existing and new customer database. Execution of assigned lead generation (marketing campaign feeds) - assigned new contacts to be contacted within five working days post-event. Pro-active execution of activity to turn lapsed/lost clients into opportunities. Revisit existing customer base with a view on selling value add products. Requirements: Exceptional customer service skills and demonstrable experience. Commercial acumen / commercially astute. Maintains a high degree of industry and product knowledge, with the ability to translate to customers’ needs. Full and effective use of CRM to manage sales and marketing activities. Ability to solution sell, field or desk-based. A recognised qualification in either marketing or selling would be desirable. High level of computer proficiency with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Natural networker, able to build authentic relationships quickly. Highly-organised approach with good attention to detail. Empathic listener to really understand the needs of the customer. A full UK driving license.
