Business Development Manager - Education Sector - Home Working During Term Dates - Up to £25,000 Benefits (Car, Laptop & Phone) The Company We are working with a leading educational publisher, delivering market-leading, award-winning print and digital assessment resources into the Primary, and Secondary Markets. Due to continued expansion they have an exciting opportunity to join as a Business Development Manager. The Role Working from home (during term dates) the role is a field based business dvelopment position. Duties include: Develop sales in the relevant institutions in their given area to achieve year on year growth. Build relationships with decision makers to ensure renewed business. Identify and develop key accounts within the area to ensure we buildstrong relationships with centres. Liaise with LA advisers (where they are in place) and consultants in the educational sector to raise the profile of our resources and services. Represent the company at local and national exhibitions to promote and sell our services and develop our reputation as a service provider. Attend sales training days and put into practice techniques to improve sales. Spend time learning about new resources, particularly key courses and digital products and services, in order to promote them in a knowledgeable and professional manner. Attend annual conferences and regular team meetings to maintain product knowledge. Must hold a full driving licence. Carry out one to one or group demonstrations or presentations to customers or internal stakeholders, including presenting to colleagues at training sessions where required. Requirements Excellent sales and customer services skills are essential. A knowledge of and/or experience in the education sector is also a massive benefit. Additionally: Sound IT skills, including MS Office package Use the web with confidence Negotiating Understanding of the education market Strong organisational and planning Report writing Presentation skills Commercially aware Independent decision maker Able to work as part of a team Organised A self-starter who can motivate themselves to work from home Good communicator at all levels Good presenter Drive to succeed The Package Our client offers a market leading package of £22,000 - £25,000 up to 24% bonus Car Laptop/phone.
