Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Benefits professional to join a very successful and well respected practice. Within your new role as Head of Corporate Benefits you will be working in a client-facing capacity. The successful applicant will be responsible for leading and growing the relationship within an existing portfolio of clients, whilst also leveraging internal and external relationships to enhance the opportunity for new business acquisition. The role holder must be comfortable in fact finding within both SME and corporate sized businesses; conveying the advantages of benefits management to existing and prospective clients. A strong technical understanding of pensions, group risk, health and well-being, flexible and voluntary benefits is key and DipPFS or equivalent would be preferable, but not essential. You will be required to build relationships with our existing and new corporate employee benefit clients, manage Financial Planners, group risk consultants and support staff. This opportunity would be best suited to an individual with strong market and technical knowledge with time spent within an employee benefits consultancy; liaising directly with Directors. Key Responsibilities Using existing and internal relationships, grow the opportunity for new business Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients, arranging meetings to fact-find and consult on market trends and align benefits to address needs and wants. Ensure that service is delivered to clients in line with the agreed fee/retainer/service level. Formulate and execute on agreed business plan, working toward retention and revenue-based income targets. Maintain contact with key partners, introducers and internal teams. Must have commercial awareness: keeping up to date with financial products and legislation as well as ensuring your technical knowledge is maintained. Ensure adherence to compliance rules and procedures in the filing of CPD records. Mentor and develop Junior employees Help with business team management including running sales meetings and CPD sessions. Experience, Knowledge & Essential Attributes Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey information to non-financial individuals while building a good rapport Wealth of knowledge across the employee benefits from a market and technical perspective Track record of delivery against agreed income and client-development targets, in a client-facing corporate benefits consulting role Self-starting individual, who’s able to progress, consult and close on new business opportunities Excellent commercial awareness and industry knowledge Willing to travel to meet with client Efficient IT skills including, but not limited, to Excel skills Ability to be flexible and show commitment when required by workload Excellent communicator, with a passion for business and the personal authority to earn respect at all levels within the organisation The role is paying a salary of £80,000 benefits and will be based in London and Kent
