Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Contracts Surveyor to join a growing, forward thinking, family-run business within the construction sector, based in Dorset. As a dynamic and passionate Contracts Surveyor, you will manage projects from pre-construction through to completion. You will be responsible for all client liaison, cost control, financial reporting, procurement, subcontract ordering and liaison, building control compliance, H&S and programming. You will co-ordinate works with site based Project Managers to deliver all projects on-time, on budget and to a high quality finish to ensure full client satisfaction. Key responsibilities and duties... * Procurement of all contractors throughout the duration of project * Project programming * Client liaison * Coordination of subcontractors at pre-construction stage and liaison throughout the duration of project to include Building Control liaison and compliance * Chairing project meetings on-site and issuing minutes/agenda/coordinating actions * Producing valuations * Detection of variation opportunities and evaluating for client instruction * Cost Control and CVR Reporting * Cashflow Forecasting for projects * Quality Control Inspections on-site * Factory liaison on design coordinating with client up to sign off at pre- construction stage * Increase GP on projects Requirements The ideal candidate will have the following skills, attributes and qualifications... * Previous experience in the construction industry * Groundworks experience * Construction Management / Quantity Surveying degree or HND level qualification * Highly proficient in Microsoft Packages * Health & Safety Trained / Nebosh (Ideally) * Ability to work under pressure and meet fast track deadlines * Positive and enthusiastic * Ability to learn new skills * Management ability * Strong communication skills - both verbal & written Benefits Salary - 60,000 - 70,000 (DOE) Company Car/ Car Allowance Company & performance related bonus 25 days holiday + 8 days statutory Nest Pension
