Job Description

This is a key role within Vubiquity's Programme Planning team. You will be creating and generating the detailed VOD content schedules for Vubiquity's VOD content services across its international portfolio of EST & VOD services with a particular focus on English speaking territories outside of the US and Canada. The role combine creative and analytical skills, in equal measure, and requires a meticulous eye for detail, great content knowledge and a real understanding of processes within a media environment. VOD Schedule Programme Planning + Creates, manages & develops EST & VOD programme content schedules for Vubiquity's international services and mobile as directed by Manager + Ensures the programme schedule output meets specific supplier and platform requirements including agreed refresh, volume, content quality and delivery dates + Implements the content scheduling of EST & VOD content propositions across regional deployments + A particular focus on selecting and programming Movie,TV and TV content and related marketing campaigns is required for this role. VOD Content Development & Content Selection + Working with Content Acquisition Teams, views content screeners for potential acquisition + Recommends & justifies content selections for new or existing content propositions as directed by the Programme Planning Manager + Recommends & implements improvements to existing VOD content schedules to maximize performance of VOD content proposition + Generates draft content schedules for new content service from initial brief from Manager + Supports acquisition process, providing feedback to Vubiquity acquisitions on content and schedule requirements, product gaps and opportunities + Generates regular marketing ideas/concepts and executes in conjunction with locally based marketing managers. Communication of VOD Schedules + Point-person for communicating the VOD content to the wider business liaising with Service Delivery Managers for each territory to ensure effective communication of the Schedul + Liaison with clients to ensure content schedules are correctly and clearly communicated + Liaison with major content suppliers to discuss & review TV content schedule planning and improving the product proposition + Liaises with key departments including Service Delivery, Acquisitions, Marketing and Operations as well as content suppliers to enable the maintenance of regional schedules + Communicates changes including updates & amends to schedules to the wider business General VOD Schedule Management + Maintains accurate records e.g. of TV screening and quality, Schedules created and content availabilit + Oversees change control process to ensure effective updates, amends to schedules are made as required + Generates content availability Lists for the respective VOD services, communicating and co-ordinating these with Service Delivery, Operations, Marketing + Willing and able to take on new roles and responsibilities as directed by a Manager General + Contributes in the analysis of performance data to assist in management of international services + Monitors competitive schedules and marketing initiatives in both local and international markets + Maintains a good general knowledge of TV, Music and movie content Entertainment Content, Licensing, Scheduling Knowledge + Good understanding of Entertainment (TV, Movies and Music) content, key suppliers and catalogues across all Genre + Good general understanding of the Entertainment content market including an informed view of the available propositions & content offerings + Good general understanding of content licensing deals, windowing, license terms and conditions + Ideally an understanding, of content scheduling principles and practise (ideally gained within a VOD environment although candidates with a background in linear TV, Web or mobile content will be considered Entertainment Content Management + General knowledge & understanding of Digital content management processes, operational delivery and format + Awareness of cultural differences between territories & compliance issues + Ideally, a knowledge of VOD specific content management processing and workflows + Good general understanding of performance data, ratings analysis and key performance metrics General + Ability to work independently & proactively as well as working effectively with other + Takes a flexible approach to complex problems, combining analytical knowledge with creative skills + Good communication skills, ability to delegate, proactively escalate problems, identify bottlenecks, positively engages with complex problems and offers solutions + You will have strong Excel skills as this is used on a daily basis. + Proficient user of Word & PowerPoint - as well as being able to work on a variety of bespoke software systems. + Ability to manage priorities, meet deadlines and deliver accurate, detailed, well-presented results in a fast paced environment + Note that some entering of metadata for Adult ori
