Job Description
Scrum Master/Delivery Lead required to join one of our retail projects in our London office. Key Responsibilities: * You will be expected to lead one or more Agile team in the delivery of bespoke development projects as well as operational improvements, often to very challenging timescales. * Ability to inspire, coach and lead teams with varying levels of Agile experience * Facilitation of all team meetings and ceremonies, including Planning sessions, Showcases, Team Retrospectives and the daily stand-up * Support the efficient flow of work through Agile teams by helping the teams remove obstacles and make improvements * Support Lean and Agile thinking as the norm and help foster a culture of continuous improvement * Cultivate trust through personal and team relationships with a range of product owners * Enable teams to monitor progress within and across sprints using effective metrics * Planning, forecasting and reporting of team velocity and throughput both internally and to the client * Participating in scheduling of deliverables to meet the needs of wider programme dependencies * Team budget and resource management * Teach and coach Agile practices (Scrum, XP, Lean...) and values within the Development Teams and organisation in which Scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood * Working knowledge of Agile frameworks, in particular Scrum and Kanban * Flexible attitude towards changing client needs and working with remote Product Owners * Active participation in the identification of risks, issues and dependencies * Keeping up to date with emerging industry practices. You will have excellent knowledge & experience of Agile teachings, approaches, behaviours and be capable of helping both teams and the wider organisation to address the dysfunctions that may result from teams and others misinterpreting, ignoring or rejecting Lean and Agile values and principles. You'll need to be comfortable and have experience of working in organisations which are undergoing agile transformation where consideration of existing waterfall practices is required. You must have strong Stakeholder management skills, core project management skills and be able to prioritise the client's needs over processes to help them transition to agile way of workings while still delivering efficiently. The bit ....we need you to be really great at: * Extensive experience working in an Agile environment * Track record of managing multiple projects with exposure to eCommerce or web based projects * Experience of working in a supplier/client relationship on the supplier side * Understanding of the software development cycle and release management * Proven experience of managing people and development teams * Be capable of teaching and coaching the adoption of Continuous Delivery Practices such as integrating continuously (CI), TDD, ATDD, BDD, Pairing, Mobbing * Experience of core project management practices * Excellent negotiation skills and an ability to handle sensitive issues with tact and diplomacy * Exposure of working with the following tools would be advantageous - Jira, Confluence, Hybris, Java, J2EE, Jenkins * Strong ability to work on his/her own initiative to an agreed action plan. * Proven ability to motivate team. * Strong time management & organisational skills. * Experienced in managing 3rd Parties involved in delivery Wunderman Thompson Commerce is a new global eCommerce consultancy that applies strategy, technical know-how and outstanding design to make a big impact through eCommerce.
