Summary: Facebook is seeking a technology leader to drive Infrastructure Performance, Capacity and Reliability for Facebook as part of the Capacity Engineering & Analysis (CEA) team. This manager will take ownership of building a team in London. They will lead a team of performance engineers to work across a number of areas, including optimizing the performance and scalability of our services, investigating hard reliability issues across stacks, building observability tools for performance analysis and generating insightful and leading edge ideas. This role will interact closely with a number of cross-functional partners and cross-layers of stacks including software engineering and systems & tooling engineering, network engineering and hardware engineering to solve open-ended problems. Our initiative is to build one of the largest efficient Internet services in the world with tens of billions of user requests, tens of exabytes of data and thousands of giga bps of network flow! We are now looking for the right leader to bring this together in-region. This position will be based full-time in our London office. Required Skills: 1. Build and retain a world-class performance engineering team through mentorship, guidance and career development 2. Lead partnerships with Capacity and Performance Engineering, Software Engineering and Systems & Tooling teams to find the optimal way to scale the infrastructure 3. Provide definition and deliverables on project roadmap to propose large initiatives, build and enhance infrastructure and framework to help understand performance issues and address them proactively 4. Communicate cross-functionally across various teams, organizations and internal and external stakeholders to drive infrastructure efficiency initiatives, performance education and performance opportunities finder Minimum Qualifications: 5. Bachelor in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Technology, Electrical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences 6. 12+ years of experience working in a technology company 7. Knowledge in distributed infrastructure to support a global internet business 8+ years experience leading teams Preferred Qualifications: 8. Experience in performance or reliability engineering 9.
