Job Description
Do you want to work in a Care Home with a difference, while working towards a nationally recognised apprenticeship programme? Whether you are a Christian or want to work within our Christian ethos this could be the job for you. Everything we do in our Older People's Service is "Rooted in Love" - our values of integrity, compassion, passion, respect; boldness and accountability are at the heart of all we do. At Furze Hill House we provide care to 40 older people, some with dementia, who can no longer live independently. All staff play a central role in creating a positive culture where residents' rights are promoted, ensuring they are active participants in care decisions. Families also work with staff to ensure care is best tailored to the needs of their loved ones. Daily, residents can take part in meaningful activities with the purpose of enhancing quality of life and maintaining physical and mental well-being. Activities are designed to be creative and to stimulate thinking or memory, such as music, art, flower-arranging, chair exercise and walking. Other tasks support everyday living - folding washing and setting tables. Residents can also participate in organised activities from watching films to singing or enjoying shopping trips. As an apprentice experience is not essential to this role, we are looking for applicants who have a passion for caring, this could be either through previous roles in social care or your life experience. We are looking for individuals who are committed, to achieving an Adult Care Worker Level 2, apprenticeship programme. As an Apprentices Care Assistant you will learn to play a key role in helping each resident to enjoy the highest possible quality of life by providing personal care, promoting their independence and supporting them to take part in a wide range of activities.
