Job Description
Pre-Registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician Southport Pharmacy Fixed Term, 2 years training with a guaranteed Band 4 post upon qualification 37.5 hours per week Band 4 16,909 per annum, (Agenda for Change of 70% of Band 4) Southport and Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust provides healthcare in hospital and the community to 258,000 people across Southport, Formby and West Lancashire. Acute care is provided at Southport and Formby District General Hospital and Ormskirk District General Hospital. This includes adults' and children's accident and emergency services, intensive care and a range of medical and surgical specialities. Women's and children's services, including maternity, are provided at Ormskirk hospital. The North West Regional Spinal Injuries Centre at Southport hospital provides specialist care for spinal patients from across the North West, North Wales and the Isle of Man. The Trust also provides sexual health services for the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton. An opportunity has arisen for a Pre-registration Trainee Pharmacy Technician to join a developing team of pharmacy staff serving Southport & Ormskirk Hospital NHS Trust. Together with hospital training, the post holder will study part time day release as an apprentice for a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (Pre-Registration). The post will rotate between Southport & District General Hospital and Ormskirk & District General Hospital, covering dispensary, aseptic, stores and wards. The ability to travel to both sites is essential. NB - You must be able to take up post on 2nd Nov 2020 Minimal education requirements: 4 GCSE's (grade C or above) including Maths, English and either Dual Science Award or Biology and Chemistry Salary: This post attracts a salary under Annex U of Agenda for Change of 70% of band 4.
