Assistant Refinery Manager Location: London, E6 7FF Package: Depending on skills and experience About the Company: Established in 1967, our client is a London-based bullion merchant dealing in Gold, Silver, Platinum, Palladium and Rhodium. In addition to producing its own bars in various sizes, they also offer their clients metal account facilities in both allocated and unallocated form. With further divisions for refining, storage, industrial products, numismatic coins and wedding rings, our client is the only company in the UK that can rightly claim to be a true all round expert and one-stop-shop for all precious metal needs. The company employs over 50 people and operates primarily out of 30,000 sq. ft. of high security premises near City Airport. Assistant Refinery Manager Duties: * Execution and monitoring of refining processes an on-time production of material * Supervising refinery team ensuring delivery of operational safety, environmental quality objectives and performance reviews * Generate new procedures and review/edit existing refinery procedures as required * Ensure that the refinery remains fully compliant in relevant areas of HS&E and existing environmental regulations * Maintain complete and accurate records of material movements * Responsible for keeping high levels of equipment availability through management of technician team. * Cross training in all aspects of refining process * Planning, prioritization and management of day to day refining activities Assistant Refinery Manager Requirements: * Education to degree level (or equivalent in chemistry) * Preferable a chemical engineering background or Metallurgist * Precious Metal Analysis and Assay experience * Gold Refining process using Miller process Aqua regia- desirable * Staff management * A thorough understanding of Quality Management systems * Knowledge of Environmental Legislation and annual reporting requirements- desirable * Knowledge of health and safety and its application in an industrial setting If you meet the requirements and feel that this Assistant Refinery Manager role is right for you then please apply today!
