The sites at sia Fibral Ltd, Greetland, West Yorkshire and sia Abrafoam Ltd, Alfreton, Derbyshire, have a wealth of experience in the manufacture and development of abrasive products, ideally complementing sia Abrasives' systems solutions. Job Description Target reporting to the Head of Operations for the relevant site, this role will be responsible for the Facilities Management and Site Security at both the sia Fibral Limited, Greetland and sia Abrafoam Limited, Alfreton sites as well as adherence to Bosch standards/policies in order to protect all associates, stakeholders and the environment. Responsibilities: Facility Management * Engineering integrity and standards of the premises, grounds, utilities * Management of Contractors taking account of the HSEQ factors with responsibility for facility engineering records and drawings * Identification and action of maintenance and verification requirements in order to maintain/improve the facilities. * Development of preventive measures through continuous improvement processes * Budgetary control of the Facility department and related Capital project * Hardware engineering of plant modifications and capital projects from scope finalisation to handover to operations * Be an integral part of the Operations department contributing to business improvement through idea generation and project implementation * Work as part of project implementation teams, providing continuous process evaluation/improvement, energy efficiencies, machine capability analysis and value stream mapping * Communicate and raise awareness of project status * Develop function for the future strategic needs of the business * Document process control requirements Security * Ensure and promote crime prevention awareness systems to all staff * Maintain a cross collaboration with emergency services i.e. Police & Fire with quarterly meetings * Ensure all FCM / HSE observation forms submitted by guards are actioned * Oversee aspects of Key Control / Access Control with monthly audits. Main Gate- Reception- Master Keys systems * Conduct annual Site Security Assessments & Audits in line with company policies * Main contact in relation to general building security * Submit incident reports when required via the Crime Management Reporting System * Install a general culture of Crime Prevention through initiatives and inductions. * Maintain all central audit records to include restricted area concept * Act as a liaison between local neighbours & neighbourhood police teams * Act as advisory to the main site management People * Undertake all people management activities including discipline, grievance and PRED processes. * Mentoring and development of team members. * Communicate objectives, tasks and targets. * Assess departmental performance and training needs of self and others. * Maintenance of technical skill profile to meet site and business needs. * Communicate Corporate information to team, as appropriate. Business * To improve the standard of facilities on site - building, grounds, utilities. (Progressive upgrading required). * Managing facility maintenance activities. * To actively pursue site reliability. * Implement project work (including appropriate Plant/Site "shutdown" activities). * Budgetary control of project Capex work. * Full utilisation of Corporate standards where appropriate and development of own local standards. * All Statutory maintenance adherence. * Set facility priorities. * Provision of technical support and guidance relating to the solution of problems and incident investigations. * Accurate on time formal reporting as required. Accountabilities * Accountable to the Head of Operations for all aspects of performance. * To all associates for relevant information. * To other Departments for co-ordination of activities. * To team member for their personal development. * Safe working of all associates and stakeholders. Qualifications * Proven engineering management experience gained within a manufacturing environment, preferably involving chemicals * Ideally educated to degree level, or equivalent * Preferably Chartered Engineer or equivalent * Able to provide direction and make sound judgement based on fact * Ability to be build and maintain relationships * Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment * Willingness to accept change * Proactive and positive approach to tasks * Proactive self-starter able to work under own direction, a "starter-completer", providing ongoing updates and follow
