Your Opportunity * Head of Partnership, working from home in the UK. * This position is currently working from home in the UK, but in the future you'll be required to visit the London/Harlow office and travel across the south of England. * Permanent & full-time working 37.5 hours per week. The Head of Partnership is a senior leader of the Pearson Online Learning Services (POLS) UK team and is directly responsible for the growth and performance of a University Partnership. We work with world-leading universities and partners throughout the UK to take their qualifications online, enabling them to reach global audiences to complete their studies and progress their lives and careers without having to put those activities on hold. Your role is comprised of three key activities: Strategic Direction and Executive Stakeholder Management, Programme Portfolio Growth, and Operational Service Delivery. You will be supported by a business unit responsible for research, marketing, student recruitment and retention services. However, you will be fully accountable for the success of this business unit. Success in this role will be dependent on developing a clear and compelling strategy to grow the partnership, building relationships with key academic stakeholders within the partner university, identifying and launching new programmes successfully, and achieving enrolment, retention, and graduation targets. Your Responsibilities will include: Strategic Leadership & Stakeholder Management; * Provide the strategic direction and leadership for the partnership. * Develop and articulate a clear strategy for the creation on an online programme portfolio that reflects the distinction of the partner University in market. * Hold a position on the Joint Steering Committee, the senior governance organisation for the partnership. * Develop and Manage strong Stakeholder relationships within the university at all levels, but especially with key executive sponsors and decision makers. * Keep the Academic Partners posted on new opportunities in their space and on new practices. * Communicate regularly with the stakeholders at the University to ensure that all aspects of the business are functioning successfully. Partnership Growth Through Programme Portfolio Expansion; * Work with the POLS research team and partner stakeholders to identify new programme opportunities. * Oversee the process of undertaking market research and programme readiness work to develop a clear programme proposition. * Work collaboratively with partner stakeholders to progress programme approvals processes within the university. * Achieve endorsement from the Joint Steering Committee to launch proposed programmes. * Oversee launch activity to ensure new programmes are put into market on time and with the expected and agreed proposition.
