What would your day look like? We are looking to recruit a HR Consultant to join a growing HR team based in Manchester; the HR Consultant provides specialist support in the areas of Employee Relations, People Change and the enablement/delivery of the People Agenda to both business leaders and the wider HR team. Working alongside and acting as specialist support to HRBPs on key people change programmes, HR cyclical activity and the enablement and delivery of the People Agenda to both business leaders and the wider HR team. Reporting to the HRBP, the HR Consultant will; * Lead the delivery of HR elements of business change activities, ensuring that business change processes are defined, documented and adhered to and effective consultation processes are planned and delivered appropriately. * Support the HRBPs in all relevant HR cyclical and transactional activity such as Talent and Succession, Performance Management etc. * Support business line/functional deep dive activities e.g. attrition, candidate/employee experience by collating the relevant MI to provide valuable insight to HRBPs and the wider business. * Draft and maintain oversight and management of all Aldermore ER policies, standards and processes on the HR systems, ensuring all ER policies and processes reflect both the legal requirements upon the bank but also the needs of the business and ensure they are updated regularly in line with internal and external requirements. * Support the ongoing delivery of a strong ER service, acting as the main interface with the ER service, supporting the conduct of regular reviews to ensure ongoing improvements are made and learning is embedded both with the ER advisors and our business leaders. Proactively work with the ER partners to identify how to upskill and ensure our line managers are fully equipped to deal with ER cases professionally and in line with policy/process. * Act as Aldermore's expert in case management and the escalation point for high risk cases, including the provision of specialist support to escalated employee queries. What do we expect of you? * Experience of working as HR Consultant or Senior HR Advisor with multiple stakeholder groups. * Demonstrates commercial understanding and experience of applying existing HR expertise within a complex business environment. * Be bold, resilient and pragmatic, not afraid to take calculated risks whilst balancing our need to be robust and diligent to ensure we keep our bank safe. * Strong coaching, mentoring and facilitation skills. * Willingness to help managers achieve the right outcome and provide necessary support and guidance to enable our people to operate with confidence. * Good understanding of the management of people risks and ability to challenge and influence business leaders where appropriate to ensure these risks are indentified and mitigated effectively.
