For more on Wheelabrator, please visit www.wtienergy.co.uk Job Summary Working in the Energy from Waste Industry this role holder is responsible for all areas of facility Operations, Safety, Maintenance and employee development, while ensuring all contractual, environmental, health and safety compliance is achieved. The nature of this role requires the jobholder to be available during emergency situations and plant breakdowns as necessary. Essential Duties & Responsibilities * Ensures all site activities are undertaken in compliance with the Company's Quality, Environmental and H&S management systems. * Ensures all staff, contractors and visitors attending the facility comply with the required health and safety procedures. * Ensures the site is compliant with environmental legislation. * Manages Health, Safety and security of the facility at all times. * Oversees the implementation of personnel training and development plans and improvement programs for the facility. * Ensures the morale of all staff members is maximised whilst also ensuring successful completion of objectives. * Develops an annual operating budget for the facility. * Manages all contracts related to the facility. * Meets or exceeds budgeted targets as determined in the annual business plan. * Develop, review and action Wheelabrator Maintenance program at the facility. * Enforces the Management of Change process when implementing facility improvements. * Manage the process of receiving and transfer of waste. * Manage all internal and external plant communication and documentation. * Represents Wheelabrator when interfacing with Government agencies, regulators, customers, suppliers and community liaison groups. * Undertakes all aspects of people management with appropriate support from Human Resources. * Possesses the ability to work within a multi-national environment. * Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives. * Employees may be assigned other duties, in addition to, or in lieu of those described above, per the needs of the Company.
