We believe the global financial system has relied too long on closed infrastructure and outdated technologies - it's time for a change. We are looking for a Strategic Projects Associate to join our rapidly growing FinTech company. The Strategic Projects Associate will build a nimble infrastructure where we can support an expanding innovative product base. We are seeking a candidate who can execute all workflows for speed and accurate delivery while participating in strategic reengineering, audit, risk, and new business initiatives. What you will do: * Lead infrastructure development and business operations support for Paxos globally, covering asset settlement, operations performance, financial record reconciliation, and analytical reporting: * Own performance analysis and efficiency improvement initiatives to existing products such as the USD-collateralised Ethereum-based stablecoin Paxos Standard (PAX), crypto-asset exchange platform itBit and its related trading services including the over-the-counter trading desk, custody and escrow services; * Engage with customers and providing scaled support to resolve their issues, analyse data and identify user trends, and work with cross-functional partners to implement resolutions; * Manage the design and build of the firm's financial reconciliation and reporting infrastructure, guiding the Reconciliations and Reporting team within the Operations group on the design and review of total assets under custody and transaction reconciliations; * Lead cross-functional project groups with stakeholders of engineering and other functions to resolve issues using technology and automation; * Make business decisions during an incident, working with the Engineering Manager and Engineers and function as the project manager by escalating issues and conducting retrospectives; * Build Operations workflow for new blockchain-based product and service offerings across reconciliations, reporting, and performance analysis * Design and analyse new product and service offering metrics, as well as presenting these findings to external clients - such as but not limited to Paxos' Trust-as-a-Service offerings (including joint token issuance, white-labelled custody services and Know Your Customer/Anti Money Laundering compliance management services); * Structure and Operationalise reporting on daily asset reconciliation for new Paxos products, as well as serving as the subject matter expert to train Operations members on the reporting & reconciliation procedure; * Own C-suite directives on strategic initiatives across various products (including crypto assets), that relate to market competitiveness and regulatory compliance; * Designing and manage the company's customer information management and customer financials reporting project, including management of vendor software, ensuring the company is regulatorily compliant; * Lead project team involving the Chief Information Security Officer, Engineering Director, Product Engineer, Product Manager and Operations Manager on the firm's efforts on certification for System and Organizational Control (SOC) 1 and 2 (SOC is certified by the American Institute of CPAs); * a SOC 1 audit reports on controls at a service organization which are relevant to user entities' internal control over financial reporting. Areas covered include but not limited to: * cloud and Local Network Operations, Data Retention, Backup, Business Continuity, and Disaster Recovery Plan, Physical Security and Environmental Controls, Logical Security, Change and Release Management, Incident Management, and Vendor Management; and * a SOC 2 audit helps a service organization examine and report on its internal controls relevant to the security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy over customer data. What you need to have: * Master of Business Administration degree * International work experience * Substantial experience in project management or management consulting * Knowledge of financial services and/or the blockchain & cryptocurrency space * Strong Excel skills and an ability to recognise and analyse trends in data * Comfortable working in a tech-driven environment with the ability to coordinate across several stakeholder groups (Engineering, Operations, Compliance, Marketing, People, Strategic Initiatives-Office of the CEO) Other than these qualifications, we're hoping to bring someone
