Exciting opportunities for Healthcare Assistants with Primary Care Experience - Great Dunmow We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to support the delivery of safe high quality patient care in our new Extended Access Service in West Essex. Contracted hours and bank contracts are available. Who are we? HUC provides accessible and high quality Integrated Urgent Healthcare services to nearly 3 million patients across a range of counties, including Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Peterborough, Bedfordshire and Essex. When patients are ill and need the right medical attention, they use our NHS111 service to access medical advice, assessment and treatment. We also provide a range of other healthcare services to support patients including Out of Hours GP service and running urgent care centres. Extended Access Extended Access is the evening and weekend GP service, which runs at eight bases in the West Essex area. The timings across the region for these sessions are as below, but different bases are open at different times: Weekdays : 1830-2200 Weekends : 0800- 2000 The service offers pre-booked appointments to provide better access to primary care for patients and to take pressure off the local practices. Patients will call their normal practice and get an appointment. The clinicians in the EA service will have direct access to patient notes using SystmOne or EMIS. Clinical colleagues at the surgery will immediately be able to access the consultation in the patient's records. The Role: We are inviting applications from HCAs with proven experience of working in a Primary Care setting. Dealing daily with primary care duties, including but not limited to; dressings, ear syringing, blood pressure monitoring, ECG recording. You will assist the practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care in the extended access service. Support can include: * Health checks * Chaperoning duties * Administration responsibilities Job Summary: We are offering contracted and bank hours.This position is based from our base in Great Dunmow working Sundays, 8am - 12midday. This service offers pre-booked appointments to provide better access to primary care for patients.
