Job Description

Provide business insight and reporting to key stakeholders, to both SEJ West Business Division and SEJ, including all aspects of the publishing portfolio. Provide a direct contact with the Business Units (BU) in Square Enix, Japan, for all aspects of the business. Tracking the latest project status such as development milestones, release timings, marketing/PR activities and platform strategies. Drive improvements through robust analysis of the business, along with available third party data/industry report, carry out trend analysis, competitor performances. Key deliverable * Work with Senior Business Manager to develop project forecast P&L for submissions to BUs. * Provide industry data/insights including NPD/GFK/Newzoo data to analyse competitor titles performance to support multiple Square Enix West forecast scenarios. * Frequent update, track and share the project status among the SEJ West Business Division, utilizing internal SharePoint library. * Manage the monthly sales figures reporting to each individual BUs. * Work with the SEW/SEJ digital team to manage the sales promotions and price decay during the product life cycle. Obtaining approvals from SEJ. * Manage the analysis of the digital promotion sales results and report to each BUs project team, after the promo period. * Manage the departmental overhead budgets and approvals, in conjunction with Finance. * Ad hoc reporting and project work. Desirable * Understanding of the video games/digital business environment * Have passion and excitement about video games Requirements * English & Japanese speaker * Working experience at Japanese company * Good project management capability, highly organized and meticulous planning * Advanced excel, modelling and data manipulation skills * A logical, well organised approach, as well as commitment, flexibility and self-motivation * Excellent written and oral communication skills * Strong team player - able to work within an interdisciplinary team and international business * Ability to deal with the tight deadlines and multiple re-workings * Ability to deal effectively with multiple tasks simultaneously so as to meet all deadlines * A strong desire to add value and show initiative * Can travel abroad when needed Key Stakeholder: Executive Director, Brand and Marketing Directors, Product and Brand Manager at SEE/SEA, Project Managers & Producers, Finance teams at SEA/SEE, Commercial General Managers, Local marketing teams, Digital teams, SEJ BUs stakeholders
