As a recovery worker with Change Grow Live you'll work with people who use our services, helping them get to where they want to be. CGL are recruiting a Recovery Worker to participate in the on-going development and delivery of the Pathways to Recovery service within HMP Belmarsh. Our focus is to facilitate recovery, reinforce hope and support lifestyle change. The successful candidate will be committed to taking a positive, holistic and empowering approach to service delivery. They will work with service users to initiate recovery from drug and/or alcohol dependence, to enable service users to build their own recovery capital and to support them to move into long term sustained recovery and social (re)integration. You will need to demonstrate a strong recovery focus and have knowledge of a range of psychosocial interventions. You will join a well-established and talented team that work with highly motivated Pathways to Recovery Peer Mentors. You will deliver a range of comprehensive services including brief interventions within the First Night Centre, Node mapping assessments, referrals into the Substance/Alcohol programmes within the prison establishment. The post holder must have highly developed assessment skills and experience of delivering group work. You will possess the ability to work confidently with other agencies and professionals, as well as demonstrating commitment to achieving targets and goals of the service. The post holder will need to have a flexible approach to their work and to participate in regular evening, Saturday and Bank Holiday duties.
