Would you like to lead a team making a real difference to people's lives? A team that supports people to speak up and be heard? Do you have the passion and the patience to develop our advocacy service to realise the rights of vulnerable people in the most challenging of circumstances? Working across a range of advocacy including mental health, mental capacity, care and other fields, you will be responsible for co-ordinating and managing a group of advocates working in a variety of settings. Reporting to the area Operations Manager, you will support the team and its individual members in developing good practice, safeguarding of clients and quality assuring our work. You will guide, coach and train the team to achieve the excellent performance and support our clients need and deserve and work with others across the organisation to develop your own and others' knowledge, understanding and practice. You should have a background as a qualified advocacy practitioner and the skills to motivate staff and to ensure delivery of an outstanding service. Focus and flexibility are important as is a commitment to the values of VoiceAbility. This is a true job share role and the two job sharers will be expected to cover the full range of responsibilities being able to cover for each other on the other's non-working day. Each job sharer will have specific working hours but together you will be required to cover the normal working hours of 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Position: Team Leader Location: Home-based, you will be able to travel and work across the Suffolk Midlands & South East area at multiple-sites.
