Job Description

Do you have the ability to relate positively and empathetically with individuals within the Criminal Justice system? As a Programme & Interventions Facilitator you will be facilitating group work programs to rehabilitate Service Users (Offenders) and reduce re-offending. You will be liaising with internal and external agencies to manage risk of re-offending, contributing to ensuring Thames Valley CRC key performance indicators and service level measures are achieved. You will also be contributing to the improvement of completion rates for Service Users sentenced to an accredited program and a reduction in attrition. Some of your responsibilities will include: * Facilitate accredited group work programmes across Thames Valley in line with quality assurance expectations. * Contribute to the assessment of risk through accurate assessment working closely with Treatment Managers. * Prepare and deliver sessions to engage all participants and to facilitate learning and to work proactively to reduce attrition including evenings and weekends depending on demand. * Participate in individual and team performance reviews. This will include the planning and evaluation of personal appraisal objectives What we are looking for individuals with: * Relevant experience or qualifications in group work, teaching, training, psychology, criminology, mental health or similar. * Effective interpersonal skills particularly the social/cognitive skills that the facilitator wants the service users to acquire * An ability to challenge inappropriate language and behaviour * Knowledge and experience of working within the Criminal Justice sector * Understanding of and commitment to Cognitive Behavioural Theory, Social Learning Theory, Desistance Theory, Motivational Interviewing and Pro-social Modelling preferred If this sounds like the ideal opportunity for you please APPLY
