Behaviours: Knowledge of relevant proceedures Level of coustomer Service Team Player Health and safety awareness and knowledge Communication Job Description Job objectives and responsibilities * Completion of PPM's on Gas Fired Plant at Manchester Airport. * Completion of planned, reactive and small works across site, including gas, general HVAC, mechanical and plumbing where required. * Plumbing experience preffered but not essential. * Completion of GAS PPM's, reactive and small works on gas fired appliances at Manchester Airport * Compliance with GSIUR 1998 and GIUSP Edition 7 regulations. * No prior HSE enforcement notices. * Ensure that all works carried out are undertaken within current codes of practice and in accordance with client contract, and that works are are to the required high standards. * Providing technical advice / guidance to technical manager/supervisors and client where necessary. * To identify areas for additional works within and out of the specified contractual requirements * Monthly responsibility of PPM & reactive performance within specialist area of responsibility. * Supporting with small works and projects. * To understand and ensure completion of all work related documentation accurately and on time * To understand and ensure compliance with Gas Safe and Mitie policies and procedures * Identify potential training requirements in order to ensure any statutory requirements are met and efficient working practices are followed. * Any other associated tasks that may be required from time to time * Effectively support the development of engineers capabilities, and be part of the annual appraisals * Achieve the highest standards of quality, service and presentation of the business * To carry out work in a safe and diligent manner * To comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures * To attend and fully participate in training as required * To undertake additional duties in line with capabilities as required * To ensure and promote good communication between all disciplines and ensure serious faults & incidents reported back to the business. Efficient use of PDA Qualifications Person Specification * City & Guilds qualification ( or equivalent) and proven track record in gas/boiler maintenance, with a background in the FM industry desirable. * Gas Qualifications required: CENWAT, CPA1, TPCP1, TPCP1A, CORT1, CDGA1, CODNCO1, COCN1, CIGA1, CCN1, CCCN1, * Liaise and co-operate with sub-contractors and other visiting service disciplines. * Experience of working on a large static / commercial site. * Make day to day decisions that influence immediate tasks. * Provide efficient service delivery. * Provide a speedy and competent response in emergency situations. * All services within remit are delivered in a timely manner. * Excellent communication skills. * Organised and methodical with the ability to multi-task. * Ability to use initiative and solve problems. * Works well under pressure. * Ability to work as part of a team or alone as required. * Driving licence desirable but not essential. * Generally IT literate * Motivated * Customer focused person with confidence in their skills and ability. * Presentable and approachable * Ensures area of responsibility is to delivered to a high standard. * IPAF & PASMA (desireable).
