The breast surgery department are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated registered nurse to work in our dedicated outpatient clinic at Charing Cross Hospital. This is a substantive, full-time (37.5 hours per week), band 5 position. The service runs one-stop rapid-diagnostic, follow-up, post-operative and imaging clinics throughout the week. The role of the post-holder is to help ensure that we run a high quality service that is delivered in a safe environment, and that all of our patients have an excellent experience. They will also supervise the team of healthcare assistants, overseeing their training and development. The post-holder will be part of the multi-disciplinary breast team that includes surgeons, radiologists, cancer nurse specialists, radiographers and support staff. We are looking for a proactive, patient-orientated individual with a passion for continuously improving patient experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, and previous experience in an outpatient setting is desirable.
