Job Description

We are looking for a Head of Commercial Operations who can work closely with the Sales and Marketing leadership of Paddle to implement critical solutions to drive our solutions for growth marketing, sales forecasting and historical analysis, sales efficiency, lead identification/qualification, sales commission plans, and much more. Paddle is growing fast, driven both by a series of unique marketing initiatives which lead the world in terms of cutting-edge automated demand gen, and through a highly effective and growing sales team which is successfully winning deals with larger and larger enterprises, worldwide. Both these aspects require deep support from the technical solutions we employ, and we are looking for an exceptional team leader who can grasp the full breadth and scope of our current sales and marketing technologies, work closely with the senior leadership in sales and marketing to understand how to improve the solutions, and then to deliver a solid architecture and fast implementation from their team. What you will do * You will manage a team of analysts and engineers to deliver the sales and marketing technologies. * You will work closely with the senior leadership of the sales and marketing organisations to agree requirements, prioritise them and deliver. * You will be a key part of the commercial leadership team, not only delivering as required, but providing actionable insights for your own analysis of the sales and marketing funnels and conversion metrics. * You will be a key influencer in how we drive forwards our sales planning and our marketing growth operations. * You will have full responsibility for the architecture and tools used in our commercial operations. We would love to hear from you if * You will have a minimum of 10 years technical experience, at least 5 years of which is in commercial operational roles, and at least 2 years as an accomplished personal manager. * You have substantial experience managing a team of analysts and engineers delivering capabilities for sales operations and/or marketing operations. * You are a strong personnel manager, able to help technical staff deliver effectively, and develop their careers so they can become increasingly effective. * You have significant experience in sales and/or marketing operations in a B2B company with direct sales teams. * From your previous roles, you can demonstrate a good understanding of sales enablement technologies, forecasting and analysis. * Similarly, from your previous roles you can demonstrate understanding of growth marketing and/or marketing operations. * You have experience with project management methodologies, particularly Agile, and can quickly and iteratively deliver solutions. * You have the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, effectively prioritising requests & projects and communicating the prioritisation to the heads of commercial departments. In addition, we are looking for someone with great technical depth... You have experience in a large majority of the following technologies. You can also demonstrate the ability to very quickly learn a new technology and how it will integrate with other solutions. * Salesforce - deep understanding of the basic features, as well as experience with APEX * BI tools - eg Tableau, Periscope * Customer Data Management Platforms - eg Segment, Hull * Marketing Automation Platforms - eg HubSpot, Marketo * Sales Automation tools - Outreach, Salesloft * Experience with sourcing data from third parties eg Clearbit, Datanyze; as well as web scraping * Integrating these tools to achieve uniform data sync * Ensuring usage of the tools is efficient You have strong capabilities in the following technical skills: * Commercial data modelling & architecture definition * Tracking of sales activities - emails, cold calls, meetings, visits * Tracking of marketing events - website visits, form submissions, event attendance etc. * Experience with sales funnel & performance reporting * Experience with marketing attribution * Shaping the sales process in light of the customer journey, identifying drops in the funnels as well as the areas that lack visibility Why you'll love working at Paddle We are a diverse team of around 130 people based near Shoreditch.
