Job Description

Amazon.com is seeking a European Pension Manager to join our Employee Investment Services team in the United Kingdom (London). This hands-on individual contributor role will partner extensively with internal stakeholders and external partners to execute on all regulatory requirements and reporting for our International retirement programs. Qualified candidates will need to have prior pension/retirement program management experience. This candidate will be responsible for implementing new strategies and mechanisms for program and project management to support our international retirement plans, implement a corporate governance structure framework; define local roles/responsibilities with internal stakeholders and external partners; document operational processes and control requirements; implement business-level control mechanisms; develop and execute on program/business level risk and compliance, and manage program level reporting metrics. The ideal candidate must have strong critical thinking skills, superior attention to detail with sound judgement, highly organized, analytical, excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment, and have a strong passion for customer service. The position is based at our headquarters in London. International travel will be required. Core Responsibilities: Corporate Governance - Develop and implement a global framework for a corporate governance structure and committee level advisement, ensure local plans are administered in compliance with plan documents and applicable regulations, identify and build a comprehensive and sustainable compliance review for existing and new retirement plans, monitor program costs, advise on current trends and global best operational practices. Compliance -Manage and execute on international retirement/savings related projects, audits and compliance reviews, performing or managing audits, and communicating findings, results, and remediation plans. Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develop and execute on corrective action plans to resolve issues, and recommend how to avoid or handle similar situations in the future. Track and monitor new regulations and ensure compliance with international retirement plans. Create and manage project plans to ensure all deadlines are met. Research and Reporting - Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk, develop and implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and develop plans on how to prevent and mitigate similar situations in the future. Use sound judgment to respond, track and resolve escalations and appeals in a timely manner. Research issues, learn and become adept in Amazon systems and tools to aid in resolving issues. Research and maintain an inventory of country-specific reporting obligations. Track regulatory changes with impacts to international pension programs and policies. Program Management - Develop and implement solutions that reduce risk and compliance while supporting strategic initiatives and objectives, providing an optimal employee experience, and scaling to support future business growth. Participate in and/or lead local RFI/RFPs with working groups consisting of Amazon internal business stakeholders.
