Post: consultant Haematologist Base: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Applications are invited to apply for a New Post for a Consultant Haematologist posts for NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (GG&C), based in South Glasgow. We are looking for a motivated individual to join the team of 30 Haematology consultants in Greater Glasgow & Clyde. The successful applicants will be based at the new Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Glasgow, and will help support laboratory and clinical services across the South Sector. They will a form a team of 6.6 consultants working across South Glasgow in busy hospitals to meet day case, outpatient, inpatient, consultative and laboratory commitments. The successful applicant will be involved in the on-going development of Clinical & Laboratory Haematology services for GG&C and will have the opportunity of developing a special interest commensurate with the needs of the service, an interest in Plasma Cell Disorders and Acute Leukaemia would be advantageous, this could also include transplantation and cellular therapies. The on-call within the department will be 1 in 6 with this post. You should be appropriately experienced and qualified in the specialty, fully registered with the GMC and have a licence to practice. Those trained in the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from date of Interview. Non UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training.
