Job Description
Here at Ardonagh, specifically Towergate Insurance Brokers, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to join as an HR Consultant. This role will be supporting our teams based around the UK. We are flexible on where you are based, but travel around your region is essential, and on occasions travel across the UK may be required. With a new HR Director and People Strategy in place we're looking to challenge and change the way the business sees and thinks of HR and to truly enable the business to achieve its objectives. Therefore, we are looking for an experienced HR Consultant to actively support the delivery of the Strategic People Plan. You will work in conjunction with your HR Business Partner to develop and implement commercially driven people initiatives/programmes which meet business requirements. In addition, you will deliver the cyclical HR activity including succession planning, talent management, pay and bonus, etc. You will analyse and report on HR MI to measure and report key information such as performance, well-being and productivity, in turn enabling effective evidence-based decisions to be able to implement relevant interventions for the business. Supporting both People and Organisational performance is key in this role; you will manage Employee Relations cases for your region, but also provide an in-depth analysis and evaluation of case MI to enable you to make recommendations that are aligned with business needs and HR policies and practices. In addition, you will own the proactive assessment of root cause analysis for Employee Relations related trends and provide valued consultation to Managers. Through your relationship with the business and understanding of their objectives, you will work with Managers to improve the performance of their teams, driving the understanding and application of a consistent and fair performance management process. To be successful in this role you will have: * a strong commercial and financial awareness, coupled with being able to talk the 'business language' * experience of working within the Financial Services industry, ideally insurance * a strong working knowledge of employment law and proven experience of implementing it practically * the ability and experience to deal with complex HR issues * a demonstrated understanding of utilising people MI to inform decisions * creative and innovative solutions to overcoming problems * the ability to coach Managers including being able to manage difficult discussions * resilience and the ability to deal with conflict * the ability to prioritise your own workload and respond flexibly to changing demands * a CIPD or similar qualification, or be working towards it Our package In addition to a competitive basic salary you will also receive a number of core benefits including a contributory pension scheme, life assurance and income protection.
