Job Description

Are you a Registered Nurse with experience or an interest in Ophthalmology? We are looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Ophthalmology teams based in Southend to help maintain the high standards of care we strive for within Ophthalmology. We are responsible for providing a specialist ophthalmic service for the population of South Essex across the two sites; we offer a 24 hour emergency service which you may become part of once you are competent and confident in your practice. This department will offer you the opportunity to develop in your role as an ophthalmic nurse within a dynamic team. You will help formulate and carry out effective care for our patients and ensure it is delivered to the highest possible level. We are seeking a motivated, team orientated professional with a passion for delivering good nursing care. The successful candidate must possess excellent communication skills, a high sense of professionalism and a strong belief in the value of teamwork. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in all areas of Ophthalmology including theatres, ward and clinic. Once competent we are looking to develop you further by supporting your training and education for enhanced nursing roles within the ophthalmology department. Please note this post may require you to travel to the Orsett location. This position is permanent, 37.5 hours per week.
