About the Role In the role of Manager, Analytics and Store Segmentation team, you will produce insight into the sales performance of the European business, probing and advising areas of opportunity. Through timely execution and creation of reports and strategic analyses you will identify macro- and micro- trends impacting our businesses at the store, customer, geographic, seasonal and product levels. You will utilize sales, inventory, promotional activity, operational metrics etc to determine a best go forward strategy across assortment, promotional and operational needs. You will be a part of a global team and manage and support a team in EU that is consistently challenged by executive leadership to help guide company strategy based on the best data and analysis available. Primary Responsibilities: * Overseeing the general European Analytics and Store Segmentation needs of the company by guiding, empowering and growing your team to manage and execute the regular and ad hoc reporting needs * Provide insight to EU and NA leadership, update and maintain the results and playbooks for our various store segments, update and maintain continental EU promotions in the ERP/Promo Management system, and inform the general product and store level strategies necessary to continue the company's EU successes, avoid pitfalls and identify opportunities * Working cross-functionally and with team leadership to ensure that business recommendations are properly communicated (verbally and/or written) and trials are carried out when possible and properly tracked post-implementation (this may cover a wide range of topics) * Managing and advising on the operational and strategic plans on clearance sales. Reporting back to the executive leadership on geographic and product level performance in order that the correct strategy can be applied going forward * Monitoring the ongoing performance of clearance stock and sales. Liaising with the Finance team to work towards year end projections * Keeping up with the various potential, real world events impacting the EU business at country and regional level e.g. local events, product trends * Providing a high level of support for the European SVP Merchandising Manager on EU product nuances both at territory and country level * As promotional activity changes from trading decisions made, ensuring that this is communicated to the team and that the till software in stores is accurately maintained with relevant price changes and promotional activity, acting as a go between for the business from the decision makers to the relevant departments * Creating and maintaining self-serve/canned reports and dashboards systematically for business users in both EU and NA to be able to automate consistent/repeated ad hoc requests * Ensuring that hindsight reviews are created in a timely manner for "events" e.g. 3 kings, Carnival, Red Nose Day and other such regional events * Fostering a positive, creative, educational and encouraging team environment, at Claire's we win together and support each other in growing ours About You * High level of retail experience in a promotional/merchandising analytics role * Bachelors/Masters/PhD in in Applied Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Analytics, Engineering or the Sciences * Advanced Excel Skills * High Level of SQL Capabilities * Intermediate Level of visualization/dashboard building experience (e.g. with PowerBI/Tableau) * Experience with R/Python for Data Science purposes a plus Want To Be a Part of This Amazing Brand?.....
